I let my son read it in 5th grade. We actually read it together. I myself read it in 5th or 6th grade. It has some strong language, but it is all appropriate to the story. You should read it, definitely. There may be things you don't get at your age, but you will enjoy it. There are some moments that may bring up questions, and you shouldn't hesitate to talk to a teacher maybe about some of the issues.
